The South West Marine Drive area just got a whole lot cooler as the world’s largest ice cream specialty shop chain, Baskin-Robbins, opens its newest outpost at Marine Gateway.
Who is Baskin-Robbins?
Started in 1945, Baskin-Robbins has been long satiating the world’s sweet tooth with their wide array of ice cream flavours, delicious cakes, and frozen beverages. With their famous “31 flavours” – a different flavour for each day of the month – the brand has now grown to feature over 1,000 delectable options, winning hearts globally.
This is the brand’s third store in Metro Vancouver, part of a 15-store agreement with the franchisee McMaster Holdings Group, marking the brand’s 111th store in Canada.
Last year, Baskin Robbins opened their new location in Metrotown.
A Sweet and Vibrant Twist
The newly opened Baskin-Robbins, located at 492 South West Marine Drive, replaces a Rogers Wireless unit and adds to the growing South West Marine Drive neighbourhood.
The Marine Gateway location was supposedly aimed to open in 2022 summer but was largely delayed until this Spring.
Baskin-Robbins’ next-generation store design, named “Moments,” brings a vibrant aesthetic with bright colours, simplified digital menu boards, and innovative “dipping” cabinets.
Aside from ice cream, you can also get custom ice cream cakes, which are the perfect addition to any celebration.
