With the last bit of the Winter cold passing (snow incoming!) through the city, a warm and satisfying meal is probably in your mind.
No doubt that hot pot is one of the first few cuisines that may have popped up.
Well, you’re in luck because locals in the Burnaby area will be delighted to find out that Gokudo Shabu Shabu has just reopened in a new location across from Crystal Mall.

Their previous unit is being taken over by the self-serve hot pot brand, Big Way.
Gokudo Shabu Shabu is a popular OG spot for those who enjoy individual hot pots, that are affordable and of decent quality.
Most people who visit Gokudo Shabu Shabu opt for their combos because it only costs ~$7 more and has everything to feel like a complete and varied meal. The combos typically include your choice of entree (seafood, meat, mix & match, or vegan), side dishes (rice, noodles and more), and a drink (milk tea, green tea, etc.).
To celebrate their reopening, Gokudo Shabu Shabu is running a soft opening promotion from Feb 16 – 26th where customers can enjoy 20% OFF their entire bill. After the soft opening period, they will reinstate their happy hour.
One thing to keep in mind is that the popular spot does not take reservations – instead they operate on a waitlist system. During peak hours, queue times could range between 30 mins to an hour so it is best to plan accordingly if you choose to visit during regular eating hours.
With its affordability and attractive combos, Gokudo Shabu Shabu is no doubt a spot to check out when craving for a warm and filling meal!
