Popular Burnaby Cafe ‘La Foret’ Grand Opens Their New Second Location By Royal Oak

We can’t deny our love for big cups of coffee and eye-catching cafes, and if you share this passion, we’ve got great news for you! Cafe La Foret, one of Burnaby’s most visually stunning cafes, has just opened its second location.

La Foret is a Korean cafe and bakery, known for its unique concrete jungle interior and beautiful menu items. Their new spot is just steps away from the Royal Oak Skytrain Station and unfortunately is not the same concrete jungle haven to hang out at as the first location.

This new location will primarily serve as a production facility for current and future locations and their new venture into wholesale and catering.

That being said, the second location offers a variety of new baked goodies and savory items not available at the original cafe.

Expect fluffy brioche donuts like Strawberry Yogurt and Injeolmi, kouign amann in black sesame or vanilla, and croissants. Savory items include Kimchi Fried Rice, Eggroll Sandwich, and Veggie Salad Sandwich.

The new café features a black exterior and bright yellow front door, contrasting with its white and creamy pink interior. Upon entering, you’ll spot a cursive La Foret fluorescent light and an elegantly painted bench underneath.

Sitting on the bench offers a full view of the L-shaped counter with a pastry and food case on one side and the espresso machine and order section on the other.

Beyond the pastry case, you can see the massive production kitchen through the windows.

For now, the café is operating as take-out only, but the staff told us that once summer arrives, they plan to offer patio seating.
