Vancouver just had its biggest moment yet on the international cocktail map.
The Keefer Bar in Chinatown was named The Best Bar in Canada at North America’s 50 Best Bars 2026, landing at number 7 on the overall list.

Three other Vancouver bars also made the cut, putting the city in a tie with Toronto for the most Canadian entries on the list this year.
Here is how the full Vancouver showing reads.
The Keefer Bar lands at number 7 with the Best Bar in Canada title, climbing 21 spots from its number 28 ranking last year.

June on Cambie debuts at number 17 as a New Entry, the strongest first-time showing for any Vancouver bar.
Prophecy debuts at number 32, jumping into the top 50 from number 53 on last year’s extended 51 to 100 list.
Botanist Bar at the Fairmont Pacific Rim sits at number 38, a 12 spot drop from its number 26 finish in 2025.
Together, the four Vancouver bars match Toronto’s count of four entries, making it the strongest Canadian showing on the list this year.
The list itself is voted on by an Academy of more than 300 anonymous bar industry experts spread across the USA, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
The voting body is split evenly between bartenders and bar owners, drinks writers and educators, and well-traveled cocktail experts, with a 50/50 gender balance.
At least 25 percent of voters are refreshed each year to keep the perspectives current, and bars cannot apply or pay to be on the list.
Sip and Guzzle in New York took the overall top spot for The Best Bar in North America, while Bar Mauro in Mexico City was named The Best Bar in Mexico.
For Vancouver, this is the most prominent international cocktail recognition the city has picked up in years.

The Keefer Bar has been a fixture of the Chinatown nightlife stretch on Keefer Street for over a decade, blending Chinese apothecary aesthetics with a herbal, ingredient-forward cocktail program.
June on Cambie comes from the same team behind The Keefer Bar, with beverage director Amber Bruce overseeing both programs, and opened along the Cambie Village in early 2025.

Prophecy is the candlelit, mythology-themed cocktail bar tucked beneath Hotel Georgia, and its jump from number 53 to number 32 is the biggest year-over-year climb of any Canadian bar on this year’s list.
Botanist Bar continues to anchor the Coal Harbour cocktail conversation from inside the Fairmont Pacific Rim.
The full North America’s 50 Best Bars 2026 list is now live on the awards’ official site.
