West Broadway has been seeing a wave of modern coffee shops opening up, but something a little heartier is on its way.
If you’ve been craving a proper Aussie meat pie, get excited—because Peaked Pies is setting up shop right on the block!
A giant “Coming Soon” sign has been spotted, marking this as their fourth location in the province and second in Vancouver.
For those unfamiliar with Peaked Pies, the story is as wholesome as their handmade pies.
It all started when an Aussie girl and a Canadian boy met in Whistler.
She missed the comforting taste of Australian-style meat pies, and he just so happened to know how to bake.
One perfect bite later, Peaked Pies was born, bringing handmade Aussie pies, sweet treats, breakfast pastries, and Australian-style coffee to BC.
Assuming the menu mirrors their other Vancouver locations, you can expect to see a full lineup of both traditional and unique pies, baked fresh in-store daily.
If you’re a classic beef pie person or someone who likes to push the limits with kangaroo meat, Peaked Pies has you covered there.
Some standout options include the Traditional Aussie Pie, loaded with ground beef, onions, and gravy, and the Steak, Bacon & Cheese Pie, packed with chunky steak, ground bacon, and a cheddar-mozzarella mix.
If you’re feeling fancy, The Hopper features ground kangaroo in a cabernet merlot balsamic reduction.
And for those who like their pies fully loaded, you can “Get Peaked” by adding mashed potatoes, mushy green peas, and gravy on top.
Of course, no Aussie-inspired café would be complete without flat whites, lattes, and teas, making it a perfect stop for a comforting breakfast or lunch.
Taking over the former Seven 32 Nail and Spa unit, which has been empty since 2022, Peaked Pies will bring some much-needed warmth to an area packed with offices and healthcare workers.
While an official opening date hasn’t been announced, it’s expected to arrive sometime in 2025.
