South Vancouver’s culinary scene is heating up with the opening of Bufala River District on March 1, 2024.
Nestled at 3489 Sawmill Crescent, this 80-seat Italian-inspired pizzeria is the latest gem from Gooseneck Hospitality (Lucky Taco and Bells & Whistles).
A Fresh Take on Italian Dining
Bufala is no stranger to the Vancouver scene.
With its third location opening in the River District, Bufala is ready to serve up some classic and contemporary Neapolitan-style pizzas and pastas, alongside a selection of small plates and an extensive drink menu.
Designed by the award-winning Ste. Marie Studio, the 3,300 square feet space features marble and green accents, custom lighting, and a stunning chandelier installation that centers above the bar.
A 45-seat patio, set to open by spring, will offer al fresco dining under the Vancouver sky.
A Menu of Modern Classics
Under the leadership of Bufala Executive Chef Kevin Atkinson and Head Chef Eddie Muñoz, the menu at Bufala River District mirrors its Edgemont Village outpost.
From Neapolitan-style pizzas to inventive pastas and Italian-inspired small plates, each dish is crafted with care.
Exclusive to River District, diners can look forward to unique dishes like Roast Chicken with chestnut & truffle sausage and Quattro Fromaggi Arancini.
The beverage menu, curated by General Manager Lisa Cook, features a wide selection of wines, cocktails, craft beers, and espresso, ensuring that every meal is complemented by the perfect drink.
Bufala joins the neighborhood’s growing culinary spots, with its sister Mexican taco joint, Lucky Tacos, next door.
Bufala River District opens its doors on March 1, with soft opening days potentially preceding the official launch.
