The Metro Vancouver food scene is welcoming back another familiar name after Long’s Noodle reopened yesterday.
Just over a month after rumors and signs hinted at the arrival of Deer Garden at the site of the former Copa Cafe, right across from the Richmond Oval, the time is finally here.
The grand opening of this new Deer Garden unit took place on Friday, November 8th. (thank to community member t_l__ for the tip)
This marks a comeback for the iconic Hong Kong-style noodle chain, following the closure of their Capstan Way location earlier this summer, which had left many fans saddened.
Deer Garden Signatures has been a staple in Richmond since 2010, known for its customizable noodle bowls and hearty Hong Kong-style café dishes.
With its affordable and satisfying meals, it’s remained a go-to spot for many locals.
The new location brings a clean, modern aesthetic to the spot.
It features neutral tones, ample lighting, and a mix of booth-style benches and chairs that create a comfortable, casual dining atmosphere.
The seating layout keeps the space organized and airy, providing a welcoming setting for their hearty, customizable noodle bowls and classic HK-style dishes.
While there is a parking lot available for guests, it’s important to note that parking is paid.
This opening is just one of the many changes happening around the Richmond Oval area, which recently saw the closure of Tea Monarch, the arrival of Lattea at the old Dinesty location, and the soon-to-be opening shabu restaurant Mikann.
