Another major celebrity just got caught eating on Commercial Drive, and this time it is one of the biggest names in K-pop and Asian entertainment.
Jackson Wang, the Hong Kong-born rapper, singer, and GOT7 member, was spotted dining at Nomo Nomo on Commercial Drive during his recent Vancouver stop on the Magic Man 2 World Tour.
The intimate Japanese snack bar and cocktail lounge posted a photo on Instagram showing Wang posing with the Nomo Nomo team, captioning it “The MAGIC MAN himself at Nomo Nomo!”
Jackson was in town for his concert at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre as part of his ongoing world tour.
But Nomo Nomo was not the only Vancouver spot that left an impression on him.
In a separate Instagram post thanking Vancouver for having him, Wang gave a shoutout to another local favourite.
“I got a little of the lunch lady food as well,” he wrote. “I was speechless.”
That would be The Lunch Lady on Commercial Drive, the Michelin Bib Gourmand Vietnamese restaurant at 1046 Commercial Drive that has quietly become one of Vancouver’s most celebrity-frequented spots.
If the name sounds familiar, it is because we have covered this before.
Back in December 2025, comedians Hasan Minhaj and Ronny Chieng were spotted dining there with their tour crew.
And before that, Zach Galifianakis, Jason Mantzoukas, and John Mulaney were all seen eating at the restaurant in September 2025.
At this point, The Lunch Lady might as well be the unofficial green room for touring entertainers passing through Vancouver.
Nomo Nomo, where Jackson was photographed, is a relatively new addition to the Commercial Drive dining scene.
The 26-seat Japanese izakaya-inspired spot opened in September 2025 and serves yoshoku, which is Western-influenced Japanese comfort food, alongside creative cocktails and sake.
Jackson also hinted that Vancouver has not seen the last of him.
“I will be seeing you all very soon,” he wrote. “I will be back with a new show.”
Between Jackson Wang, Hasan Minhaj, Ronny Chieng, and the crew of comedians before them, Commercial Drive continues to prove it is where celebrities go to eat when they are in Vancouver.
With its Michelin Bib Gourmand status and a growing list of celebrity fans, The Lunch Lady has cemented itself as one of the most talked-about restaurants in the city.
And Nomo Nomo just got a pretty solid endorsement from one of the biggest names in Asian entertainment.
The real question is who is showing up next.
