A Langley cafe built on red brick, dark walnut and concrete is trading all three for arches, soft curves and mirrors in Port Coquitlam.

Archr Coffee + Bakery announced on Instagram on September 23 that its second location, Archr PoCo, is coming in early 2027.

The new cafe is headed for 2961 Cambridge Street.

No exact opening date has been announced.

Archr is run by husband-and-wife team Sunita and Arvin Bahri, and the original shop opened on May 27, 2023, in Langley’s Yorkson-Willoughby area.

“Our goal was to create a community living room within walking distance of our home,” the team wrote on Instagram that opening week.

That first room leaned dark on purpose.

Rustic brick walls, concrete, wood and leather furniture, and a plant wall set the tone when it opened.

The new post calls it “moody + a little masculine” and “Langley’s signature mood, and we love it.”

Port Coquitlam gets something different.

“Poco isn’t a copy and paste location,” the team wrote. “It’s the same Archr you know and love, just a little lighter.”

The plan is arches, soft curves, warm neutrals, brighter light, and mirrors, which the caption says are “for all your selfies of course.”

It had more than 1,300 likes within five hours, and one commenter wrote that Archr would likely become “my new place to visit every day.”

On the menu side, the Langley cafe pours coffee from Elysian, roasted in Vancouver.

The cookie lineup on Archr’s website runs from Kinder Bueno Praline and Malteser Malt Crunch to Banoffee Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

There are cinnamon buns, butter, chocolate and almond croissants, and gluten-free muffins too.

Archr has not said which menu items will make the move.

Archr PoCo joins other upcoming spots on our radar like MACU Tea in Coquitlam, Doe Coffee at UBC, and Kinton Ramen at City of Lougheed.
