A Chinese coffee giant is making its way to Burnaby’s largest mall!
We spotted signage for Cotti has gone up at Metropolis at Metrotown, a few steps from the mall’s T&T Supermarket.
It will be the chain’s third shop in Metro Vancouver and its second in Burnaby.

No opening date has been posted.
Cotti is not the only drink chain taking space on that stretch.
Chayan, the London-founded cream top tea brand, also has coming soon signs 2 units down, in the space Little Monk Pretzels vacated.
Little Monk did not leave the mall, it moved to the former American Cheesesteak unit over by Silvercity.
Cotti Coffee was founded in 2022 by two former executives of Luckin Coffee.
By the start of 2026 it was past 13,000 stores worldwide, which makes it the fourth largest coffee brand on the planet.
It got there on price.
Most of the menu sits under $6, and both BC openings so far ran a $0.99 first drink through the app.
The BC rollout has been fast and quiet.

The first store opened December 30, 2025, at The City of Lougheed in Burnaby, on the ground floor near London Drugs, with seating for around a dozen.
The second opened in January at Lansdowne Centre in Richmond, on the east side of the mall next to T&T.
The menu at those shops runs past the espresso basics into pandan mango coco frappes, apple jasmine iced tea, and brown sugar oat milk.
The Lougheed launch is the template for what a Metrotown opening will probably look like: 20 percent off everything for the first two weeks, then a stretch of select drinks at $3.49.

Metrotown makes sense as the third outpost.
The mall already carries a dense lineup of tea and coffee counters, and the T&T end pulls the shoppers most likely to already know the brand from China.
Putting a Cotti and a Chayan near each other on that stretch is a bet that the same walk-by crowd will support either one.
What the Metrotown build looks like inside is still behind hoarding, and the chain has not said when it opens.
