It looks like Robson Street is getting another sandwich spot soon!
We spotted coming soon signs for Pressato, a brand new European-inspired sandwich spot, opening up across from the Central Library.
They are taking over the previous Ikoi bubble tea unit and is on the same block as the recently opened and popular DANTE Italian sandwiches.
Stefan Ilic, the mastermind behind Pressato, shared with Noms Magazine that he has always been passionate about food and hospitality.
Growing up surrounded by traditional European cuisine and later honing his craft in culinary school, he wanted to create more than just another sandwich shop.
His vision?
A space where authentic European flavours meet modern creativity, where high-quality ingredients shine, and where every bite tells a story of tradition and innovation.
At Pressato, expect a menu packed with bold flavours and premium ingredients.
Here, they’re baking their focaccia in-house (meanwhile Dante uses schiacciata bread) and crafting paninis with ciabatta.
They’ll have meats that they’ve imported directly from Europe.
Stefan shares, “I have tried to incorporate a little touch of Europe into every sandwich.”
The open kitchen concept will allow guests see the entire sandwich-making process from start to finish.
To go with your sandwich, they’ll have your usual caffeinated suspects like lattes, americanos and flat whites as well.
The interior strikes a balance between modern aesthetics and a warm, inviting atmosphere, featuring a custom mural by local artist Valerie Strom.
With seating for 16 guests, it’s another great sandwich option for downtown office workers and locals to grab a bite on Robson Street.
Stefan shares that they will be opening on February 28th.
