If you wander around the Olympic Village area, you’ll be happy that a new Parisian bakery cafe is coming soon.

Mon Paris Pâtisserie, the beloved Burnaby spot known for its French baked goodies and chocolates, is officially opening its second location right there on April 26th!

They are taking over the previous Yandoux Patisserie unit, which closed back in February.

Chef and Owner Elena Krasnova, who trained at the prestigious Ferrandi Ecole de Gastronomie school in Paris, has been serving up amazing cakes, chocolates, and pastries in Burnaby since 2017.

The new 1,150 sq.ft space will have seating for about 20 people and aims for that cozy, bright Parisian café vibe.

You can expect all the flaky goodness Mon Paris is known for: classic butter croissants, chocolate ones, ham and cheese, pistachio, double baked almond… you get the picture.

Plus caneles, turnovers, macarons, chocolates, and those stunning individual desserts and custom cakes.

But wait, there’s more!

Exclusive to the Olympic Village location, they’re rolling out a menu of sandwiches served on fresh baguettes.

We’re talking Turkey Melts, BC Smoked Salmon, Reuben, Grinder (with salami, capicola, jalapeño havarti!), and a classic Italian for $13 each.

Lunch plans = sorted.

Naturally, there’s a full coffee bar serving espresso drinks, lattes (including Spanish ones!), London fogs, and their signature hot chocolate.

To celebrate the grand opening, they’re offering 15% off everything on Friday, April 26th and Saturday, April 27th.

Looks like Olympic Village just scored another great reason to hang out and treat yourself.

Will you be checking out Mon Paris for their opening weekend? What pastry are you trying first?
