Back in March 2024, we shared that Richmond’s beloved Korean Fried Chicken joint, Cocoru, has shut down after 7 years.
Well now we know what is taking over.
With the window coverings taken down, we peeked in and saw wall decals of branding for Fish With You.
Originating from China and boasting over 1,000 locations worldwide, Fish With You is known for its variety of sauerkraut fish dishes.
This will be their second outpost in the Metro Vancouver area, following a successful launch in the Burnaby Metrotown area in April 2023.
Assuming the interior and menu mirrors that of its other locations, diners can expect a bright and modern interior.
The menu allows customers to tailor their dining experience with a choice between basa and snakehead fish, accompanied by an assortment of soup bases and toppings.
Signature dishes include Hot Onion Oil Sauerkraut Snakehead Fish, Princess Tomato Sauce, Classical Spicy, and Sour and Spicy Flavour, each offering a unique taste of traditional Chinese cuisine.
The best part is enjoying the stews with their unlimited rice!
Although the opening date of Fish With You has yet to be announced, the progress visible through its windows suggests that the opening maybe within these two months.
The restaurant will be joining the vibrant collection of eateries along Alexandra Road, adding a fresh and flavourful option to Richmond’s diverse food landscape.
