Just Spotted: Sushi Mura’s Fourth Metro Vancouver Location to Open in Mount Pleasant

Sushi lovers, rejoice!

As our city’s appetite for sushi never wanes, the expansion of a popular chain is always welcome news. Especially with the recent wave of closures.

And now, Sushi Mura is making its mark on Main Street and Mount Pleasant neighbourhood.

New Sushi Spot on Main Street: Sushi Mura’s Latest Venture

We’ve spotted the signs of life at the future home of Sushi Mura on Main Street, which is opening right next to The Watson and Street Hawker.

This new sushi haven is taking over the former Seiza Japanese Cuisine space, which closed its doors last October after a five-year stint.

Since opening their inaugural Oak Street branch in 2012, Sushi Mura has been steadily growing, adding locations in Richmond’s Oval area and the River District.

The upcoming Main Street branch, set to be their 4th in Metro Vancouver, is a testament to their commitment to affordable, quality sushi and Japanese fare.

The team behind Sushi Mura shared with Noms Magazine that the new location is expected to open its doors in late January or early February 2024.

This launch is good news for sushi lovers and local foodies that frequent the Mount Pleasant area.
