It seems The Pie Hole isn’t the only new addition to Vancouver’s Greektown/Kitsilano!
We’ve noticed signs that Lumiere Cafe, a stylish artisanal coffee shop situated next to London Drugs near the Broadway City Hall Canada Line Station, will also be arriving in the neighbourhood!
Lumiere Cafe made its debut in the space formerly occupied by Blenz Cafe in March 2023.
As an artisan coffee shop, Lumiere roasts their coffee beans in small batches. This allows them to improve and elevate a coffee’s unique flavours.
They aim to offer a premium coffee experience with high-quality cups of coffee at reasonable prices.
When you step into Lumiere Cafe you will get the first glimpse of the beautiful interior decor.
To your left is a transparent case that showcases their roasting machine whirling away the beans and the barista bar decked out with fancy equipment.
Coffee wise there are plenty of options available: drip coffee, lattes, americanos, or teas. They also have pour-overs and nitro cold brew for those looking for fancy coffee drinks.
And what sets them apart from other cafes is their micro-batch roasting and in-house roasting of everything on site!
Two things impressed us about Lumiere Café – one is their MASSIVE cups! We always order a medium latte which is served in what looks like a soup bowl!
And the other is the ample outlets available, which is perfect for those who regularly work out of cafes like us.
What to Expect at the Greektown Location
The new Greektown branch will take over a space previously occupied by a lingerie store and will be smaller than the original Broadway City Hall location.
While specific details about this outpost are still brewing, it is safe to assume you can expect the same high-quality, caffeinated beverages and delicious baked goods that Lumiere Cafe is known for.
As more information becomes available, we’re eager to see how Lumiere will adapt its cozy and aesthetic appeal to fit the new space.
