Great news: the highly-rated Okini restaurant in Vancouver has just launched their VIPaw menu at their picturesque covered dog-friendly patio.
Located in Kerrisdale, Okini serves West Coast Japanese cuisine influenced by Co-Owners Stephanie Wan and Chef Kevin Lin’s Asian Canadian upbringing and international travels.
The intimate dining room and full-service bar lead to an open kitchen and French doors.
Known for celebrating special occasions, their team always knows how to impress.
Now, they’re impressing even more with their rotating dog menu, inspired by seasonal ingredients and designed with our furry friends’ health in mind.
The menu includes items like steamed sablefish with baby carrots and AAA Canadian Beef with confit potatoes.
There are also fun drinks like the “pawgarita,” made from chilled bone broth with a milk bone rim, and the “pawtini,” made from whipped cream and beef liver dust.
Recognizing that each dog has unique nutritional needs based on age, size, health, and breed, Okini focuses on offering whole-food ingredients.
Fresh meats, seafood, fruits, and vegetables boost nutrients, vitamins, and fiber intake in these meals.
Everything is human-grade, sourced from the same local suppliers, and crafted in-house with love.
The menu has been personally approved by their own puppies before being offered to guests.
“As avid diners and proud dog parents of two, we know how crucial it is to have a comfortable, dog-friendly destination where we don’t have to leave our furry companions behind,” said Stephanie Wan.
The VIPaw menu is available during opening hours from Tuesday to Sunday starting at 3:30 PM.
The patio seats 30 guests and is first come, first serve, so it’s recommended to call ahead if you’re bringing your furry friends.
