If you live in Richmond, your late-night food options usually revolve around bubble tea, Number 9, or Silver Tower.
But the city is about to get a new addition in the “24-hour pastry” department.
Breka Bakery has been spotted setting up shop at CF Richmond Centre.
A Noms Mag community member (Cynthia M) recently spotted signage for the local bakery chain at the mall’s new development on Park Road.

This is a major milestone for the brand.
While they have dominated Vancouver for years, this marks their first-ever location in Richmond.
The new bakery is taking shape in the rapidly expanding residential and retail section of CF Richmond Centre.
It isn’t the only big name moving in.
Breka is the second confirmed food business for this specific area, joining right beside the massive udon noodle chain Marugame Udon, which was spotted earlier this December.

Breka began as a small family bakery near Fraser and 49th back in 2006.
Since then, it has quietly grown into a local institution.
If you know Breka, you already know the drill.
It is open 24 hours.
It offers a massive menu of cakes, donuts, sandwiches, and coffee that keeps students and night-shift workers fueled at literally every hour of the day.
The brand is clearly in growth mode right now.

This Richmond outpost is the second major expansion currently in the works, as the bakery is also preparing to open a location in Surrey’s King George Hub.
There is no official opening date just yet but Richmond folks should be happy there is another spot to hang around at soon.
Breka now joins a solid list of upcoming food spots in Richmond, including The Food Court, Crumbl Cookie, and Molly Tea.
We will keep you updated as soon as an opening date drops.
