If you have been keeping an eye on the food changes at Metropolis at Metrotown, one sweet new arrival has finally opened.
Panda Pancakes & Ice Cream has officially opened in Burnaby, and it marks the brand’s first location in British Columbia.
We first reported on the shop back in November 2025 when signage went up at the mall.
And earlier this week, we walked by and found it open with the doors wide and customers already at the counter.
The mini pancake concept has been growing across the United States since launching in 2021.
It is a family-run operation with locations in multiple states, and the Burnaby shop is its first step into Canada.
You will find it on the main floor of Metropolis at Metrotown at 4700 Kingsway, in the former Starbucks space beside Chipotle.
The storefront is hard to miss.
It is wrapped in a bold geometric mural with pink, coral, brown, and cream tones that stands out in the mall corridor.
Inside, the space leans into a pink-and-white colour scheme.
A large circular Panda Pancakes logo with a cute panda face sits behind the counter, flanked by floating wooden shelves lined with pink-packaged merchandise and stuffed panda toys.
Behind the counter, you will spot a La Marzocco espresso machine, a glass display case with pastries, and an ice cream freezer.
Seating is limited, with a few black cross-back chairs near the entrance.
It is more of a grab-and-go setup with a pick-up counter.
The main draw is the mini pancakes, which come in three portion sizes: 15 pieces for $9.99, 25 pieces for $12.99, and 50 pieces for $22.99.
There are nine signature flavours on the menu.
The OG keeps it simple with powdered sugar and whipped cream.
From there, the options get more loaded.
Nutella Babes comes with Nutella cream, chocolate sauce, bananas, and whipped cream.
Creamy, Dreamy Oreo is topped with chocolate sauce, white chocolate sauce, Oreo cookies, and whipped cream.
If you are looking for something trendy, there is a Dubai Choco with pistachio cream, chocolate sauce, and crushed pistachios, plus a Lotus Pocus featuring Biscoff cream, bananas, and Biscoff biscuits.
Beyond pancakes, the shop also serves ice cream and espresso drinks.
Panda Pancakes Metropolis joins other recently opened food spots in Burnaby like No Frills Heights, Kinton Ramen Gilmore, and Nampo.
