A popular ramen chain just opened a food court stall at Burnaby’s City of Lougheed, about seven weeks after its signs went up.
Kinton Ramen is now open in The Eateries, the mall’s food court, according to an October 30 post from the mall.
We spotted the yellow coming soon signage in mid-September, back when the stall was still hiring for every position and had no date posted.
Bowls come with a choice of four broths: pork, beef, chicken or veggie.
The mall’s own photo shows one up close, a pale broth under two halves of a soft egg with bright orange yolks, with a sheet of nori standing up at the back.
This is the third food court stall in Kinton’s run this year.
The first opened at Waterfront Centre downtown in May, and we reported coming soon signage in Coquitlam Centre’s food court in early July.

When the Waterfront stall opened, the chain called it the first of several food court locations planned across BC.
Lougheed is built on the same quick-service setup.
There are two self-order kiosks on the counter, a screen above it calling out order numbers for pickup, and a small fridge of canned drinks tucked under the counter.
The menu boards list the ramen by broth, with separate boards for onigiri, special drinks and combos.

A red sign beside the kiosks reads “No Cash on Premises,” so have a card or phone ready before you line up.
One thing to keep straight: this is not the sit-down Kinton at Gilmore Place, which is also on Lougheed Highway in Burnaby.
That one is a full restaurant with table service, while the City of Lougheed stall is a food court counter.
Kinton has been serving Canadians for more than 13 years, with rooms including Robson, Broadway and Burnaby, plus its newer moves into Coquitlam and Richmond.
A stall costs a fraction of a restaurant to open and plants the brand in front of captive mall traffic, which explains why three of them landed inside one year.
If you’re grabbing lunch at the mall, order at a kiosk, watch the screen for your number and pick up at the counter.
Kinton Ramen joins other recent Burnaby openings like Toppings InfiniTEA, Yang’s Fook Kee and Yin Ji Chang Fen.
