A cult-favourite salad chain from Montreal with over 17 locations is making its way to Vancouver, and it is not just opening one spot.
Mandy’s Gourmet Salads has announced two Vancouver locations as part of its West Coast debut, one in Kitsilano and one in Coal Harbour.
The Kits location at 2202 West 4th will be an express-format spot designed for grab-and-go orders, with a patio planned for the summer months.
The Coal Harbour location at 1067 W Cordova Street will be the flagship for Vancouver, featuring a larger sit-down dining experience.
For those unfamiliar, Mandy’s was founded in 2004 by sisters Mandy and Rebecca Wolfe in Montreal.
The story behind it is pretty unconventional.
The two started the concept in the back of a women’s clothing store with no prior food or business experience.
From there it grew into one of Montreal’s most recognizable salad spots, known for its chef-driven menu and distinctly designed restaurant spaces.
The chain now has nine locations in Montreal and a growing presence in Toronto, with over 17 locations total across Quebec and Ontario.
The menu goes well beyond your standard salad bar.
Mandy’s is known for its creative, chef-driven salads that lean into hearty, flavour-packed combinations with premium ingredients.
The menu has big bowls with grains, proteins, roasted vegetables, and house-made dressings that feel more like a proper meal than a side dish.
The restaurant interiors are also a big part of the brand, with each location featuring its own distinct design that leans into colour, pattern, and a generally Instagram-friendly aesthetic.
Vancouver marks the start of a broader national expansion, and the West Coast is the next chapter.
No official opening dates have been announced yet for either location, but the fact that both addresses are already confirmed suggests things are moving along.
Mandy’s now joins other upcoming food spots in Vancouver like Truffle Donut, Field & Social South Flats, and Obanhmi Olympic Village.
