The Korean cafe brand behind Vancouver’s largest coffee shop is FINALLY landing in downtown.
C Market Coffee opens October 15 in the old Bonus Bakery space at 1185 West Georgia Street, right next door to Mott 32.
Founder and CEO Bridgette Hyun first teased it on her Instagram on September 9: “C MARKET COFFEE. GEORGIA ST. FOR A LIMITED TIME.”
Then one more line: “This is just the beginning. A little something before something bigger.”
A Noms Mag community member (monkeyeatsworld) also spotted the signage last month.
On October 4, Hyun locked in the date with a renovation video: “Coming soon : on Oct 15th, 2026. Reno in progress.”
Limited time was the part that got me.
That’s not a phrase you expect from a brand whose whole thing is going big.
So I asked the C Market team what it meant. They didn’t budge on how long it would last, but did share a bit about the concept.
It’s a new concept, built for downtown specifically.
“As our first location designed specifically for the pace of downtown, our new location will explore a more streamlined experience for guests stopping in between work, on their commute, or during a busy day,” the team told me.
In plain terms, it’s grab and go first, with specialty coffee and fresh baked goods.
It isn’t fully takeout only though. There will still be some seating, the team said.
They haven’t said how long the limited run will last.
It’s a big swing from Main Street.
That flagship at 195 East 36th Avenue opened back in March, runs over 5,000 square feet with room for more than 150 people, and C Market calls it the largest cafe in Vancouver.
The upcoming downtown outpost is less than half that size.
Over on Main, the signature drinks include a Tiramisu Latte and a Blueberry Cheesecake Cold Brew.
The Georgia Street menu hasn’t been announced yet.
My read: a faster C Market makes a lot of sense for the office crowd on this stretch of West Georgia.
C Market Coffee Downtown joins other upcoming spots like Bento Cafe in Kerrisdale, Nuan Nuan Beef Noodle House in the West End and Ramen Danbo in Yaletown.
