Montreal salad chain Mandy’s just opened its first Vancouver shop, on West 4th Avenue in Kitsilano.
Mandy’s Gourmet Salads opened at 2202 West 4th Avenue on September 23.
It’s an express-format shop built for takeout, with a 16-seat patio out front and delivery too.
When we first reported the two Vancouver addresses back in April, neither one had an opening date.
In the meantime, the chain started delivering in Vancouver through Uber Eats this summer, before the storefront was ready.
Sisters Mandy and Rebecca Wolfe started it all in 2004, opening Montreal’s first create-your-own salad bar in the back of a women’s clothing store.
The brand’s locations page now lists nine shops in Quebec and six in Ontario.
The Salmon by the Sea is a Kits-only salad of smoked salmon, avocado, French beans, purple cabbage and quinoa with a tempura sesame crunch, tossed in a lemon dill dressing.
Mandy Wolfe says smoked salmon “felt non-negotiable” for a West Coast salad.
The rest of the menu is the same one the chain runs back east.
That means signature salads like The Wolfe, Crunchy Sesame and The Best Chicken Caesar, plus grain bowls, smoothies, soups and breakfast items like chia pudding and yogurt parfaits.
“Our restaurants have always been inspired by our travels and design elements from around the world, with each taking on a personality of its own,” Rebecca Wolfe says.
A second, bigger Vancouver spot is on the way in Coal Harbour, and the chain lists it as opening in fall 2026.
If your name is Mandy, Amanda, Mandi or something close, the Kits shop is handing out one free signature salad on October 1, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m..
Bring valid ID, and no purchase is needed.
Mandy’s joins other recent Vancouver openings like Läderach, CoCo and TurF.
