A glass counter inside CF Pacific Centre is now stacked with chocolate slabs piled like dinner plates.
Läderach, the famous Swiss chocolatier that opened its first BC store in Richmond last fall, opened its second at Pacific Centre on September 5.
The shop sits across from Bath and Body Works and next to Lululemon in Downtown Vancouver.
We first flagged it in May, when Fall 2026 signage went up over the former Nespresso boutique.
The company says the second store is about reaching different shoppers.
“CF Pacific Centre is the right second location as it offers a different customer base than our CF Richmond Centre location,” Warren Dunkelberger, president of Läderach North America, told Retail Insider.
The draw is still the FrischSchoggi, the Swiss German name for the brand’s fresh chocolate slabs.
You point at a slab, staff snap off a piece, and it goes on the scale.
The case is labelled flavour by flavour.
Macadamia is Swiss milk chocolate with roasted, caramelised whole macadamias, packed so tight the surface looks cobbled.
Raspberry Blackberry is Swiss white chocolate tinted pink, with fruit pieces running through it.
There is also a Pistachio slab in Swiss dark chocolate, stacked a few rows back.
At the Richmond opening last fall, slabs sold for $16.99 per 100g, which works out to a piece roughly the size of your hand.
The rest of the room is built for gifting.
Wall shelves are split into sections marked Snacking, Souvenir and FrischSchoggi, with maple leaf bars and a Happy Fall display already out for the season.
A separate case near the till holds rows of truffles and pralines.
The company also calls its milk chocolate Dubai bar a best seller, and lists it among the rotating pieces on offer.
Founded in Switzerland in 1962, Läderach first came to BC with the Richmond Centre store, which opened on September 19, 2025.
Downtown will not be the last stop in the West either.
Dunkelberger says the first Calgary location is coming next year, and Retail Insider reports it is headed for CF Chinook Centre in spring 2027.
The Noms move: ask for a small piece off two different slabs instead of one big chunk, since everything is weighed to order anyway.
Läderach joins other recently opened downtown spots like Honest to Pete and Zab Bite Thai Express in Bentall Centre.
