Bruno Mars ate at a Michelin Bib Gourmand Vietnamese restaurant on Vancouver’s Main Street several times while he was in town.
The restaurant is Anh and Chi in Mount Pleasant, and the team only shared the news after his BC Place shows wrapped.
“It’s been such a joy and honour to welcome Bruno several times,” co-founder and owner Vincent Nguyễn said in the restaurant’s Instagram post.
He said Mars and his team “are so modest and lovely” that they “couldn’t help but keep things private during his stay in Vancouver.”
According to the Dished, the Anh & Chi owners shared that Bruno made four visits in person and one takeout order.
His picks were the Bun Bo Hue, the spicy beef noodle soup, plus the Chili Fish Sauce Wings and Anh and Chi’s own chili oil.
On the takeout order, he asked for extra chili oil.
Bruno has some good taste!
Then he returned the favour.
The owners say he gave the team a dozen floor tickets to one of his shows.
The restaurant’s post shows the staff on the floor at BC Place, and a screen outside one of the stadium suites reading “Anh and Chi loves Bruno.”
Mars was in Vancouver for The Romantic Tour, with five shows at BC Place in October.

Anh and Chi wasn’t his only food stop, either.
He was also spotted grabbing ice cream at a gelato shop in Strathcona.
Anh and Chi is a longtime family-owned Vietnamese restaurant at 3388 Main Street, and the same team runs Good Thief a few doors down.
Both kept their Bib Gourmand spots in this year’s MICHELIN Guide Vancouver.
If you’re planning to order like he did, the Bun Bo Hue is the one to get, and the chili oil can go home with you.
The visit lands alongside other recent Vancouver food news like the openings of Turf on Main Street, Ninth Cup on West Broadway and Meat and Bread in Shanghai.
