Every pane of glass on a corner unit beside the Wesbrook Village BC Liquor store is wrapped in orange, with four words printed across the middle.
Noms Magazine community member (Sue) spotted signs that say “Doe Coffee is coming”.
Doe Coffee is the East Vancouver cafe known for skipping tips, roasting its own beans, and baking its croissants in house.

The new shop sits on the ground floor of the Wesbrook Professional Centre at 100-3313 Shrum Lane, the building it shares with the BC Liquor store.
No opening date has been announced.
This is not the first new Doe storefront to surface this year.
In June, we reported Doe’s signage at a new corner development at 49th and Main, steps from Langara College, for what was set to be its third Vancouver location.
The Main Street shop has not opened yet, so UBC joins it as another Doe location on the way.
For a cafe that started small, the pace is notable.
Doe opened during the pandemic as Penny Royal Cafe and rebranded in 2022, with its original shop in Hastings Sunrise.
Its second location opened in October 2025 at 828 Clark Drive in Strathcona, attached to a 5,000 sq. ft. central bakery.

“At Doe Coffee, everything our customers taste is crafted by our own hands,” the team said as that shop, run by owner and CEO Bin Ni, was on the way.
The no-tipping model is the other half of the identity.
A sign by the counter reads “Skip the Tip, Enjoy the Sip,” and the team has said staff are paid wages that beat what they used to make on gratuities.

On the menu side, Doe is known for croissants in flavours like mango passion fruit, ube, and ceremonial matcha, along with a matcha latte lineup that includes Matcha Strawberry and Matcha Ube.
Anyone curious before the UBC shop opens has an easy excuse to try it.
Doe Coffee UBC joins other upcoming spots on our radar like Forecast Coffee Marine Gateway, Tucci’s, and Holy Shakes Granville.
