It looks like Downtown Vancouver’s food scene is having yet another change!
A Noms Mag community member (@whatscookingkev) recently spotted signs for Jinmi up at the former Ju Restaurant space on Cambie (near BC Place and beside Hotel Blu).
And we’ve confirmed it’s true: the West End Korean soul food restaurant, which their first storefront opened back in March 2024, is on the move.

But this isn’t just a move, it’s actually an upgrade and a level-up in concept.
The Jinmi team told Noms Magazine that the current West End location will stay open as a soy-marinated crab specialty restaurant until May 31st.
The new Cambie Street spot will be launching on June 5th.
But they aren’t abandoning the old Denman space either.
That’s reopening on June 16th as Jinmi JUGA, a new Korean pub concept featuring modern Korean eats and traditional drinks.
If you’re new to Jinmi, the brand made waves with its raw soy-marinated crab (gejang), a cult-favourite Korean dish marinated in a soy sauce.
Jinmi first opened as a brick-and-mortar in March 2024 and immediately stood out with its hanbok-dressed staff, Joseon Dynasty-inspired interiors, and dishes steeped in Korean tradition.
It was also one of the few spots that offered gejang in Vancouver.
At their upcoming new Cambie location, the signature menu and gejang will still be front and center.
But with a more spacious dining room, Jinmi plans to expand its lunch service to better serve professionals in the area, while still delivering the thoughtful, soulful food that made them a standout.
The Jinmi team told Noms Mag they chose the new location to better serve their fanbase, many of whom travel from Burnaby, Richmond, East Van – and even across the U.S. border.
Now, the Cambie space gets a second chance with Jinmi at the helm.
Let us know if you’ll be hitting up the new Cambie spot or checking out the Korean pub vibes at Jinmi JUGA when it opens!
