Vancouver’s Top Croissant Bakery Is Opening A Third Downtown Location

The ground floor of a downtown office tower is not where you would expect a croissant line to form.

But that is exactly where one of Vancouver’s best croissant shops is making its next move.

Angus T shared with Noms Magazine that they’re opening a new cafe on the ground level of the 320 Granville building, right across from Waterfront Station.

Late summer is the target, and it would be their third location in Downtown Vancouver.

Yeah, three downtown spots.

For a croissant shop that started as one Yaletown counter in 2018, that is WILD.

The tower itself is quiet at street level, so the whole play is across the road and offices nearby.

Waterfront Station is where the Expo Line, the Canada Line, the SeaBus and the West Coast Express all dump out, and Angus T wants to catch that crowd on the way past and the office workers nearby.

“Opening at the Waterfront felt like the right next step for us. It’s where commuters, office workers, locals, and visitors cross paths every day. We believe those everyday moments deserve exceptional coffee and freshly baked pastries, and we’re excited to become part of them,” said Milk Kuna, marketing manager at Angus T shared with Noms Magazine.

If you do not know the name yet, you will.

Angus T opened on Mainland Street in Yaletown back in 2018 and built its whole identity around the croissant.

You’ll often hear their name thrown in when debating who has the best croissants.

They hand-craft them daily with ingredients pulled from France and Vancouver, and the case runs from pistachio raspberry and black sesame to earl grey and double-baked almond, plus savoury picks like ham and gruyere.

This is also just the latest pin on a map that keeps filling up.

They already operate out in Park Royal in West Van, a pickup spot near SW Marine Drive, and recently opened a River District cafe earlier this year.

They are still building out a West End cafe too, in the old Matchstick Coffee space that went dark at the end of March.

So that is two new Downtown Vancouver cafes from one bakery before summer ends.

Downtown folks sure are getting spoiled!

Angus T Waterfront joins a run of upcoming Vancouver spots like Bisou Bakehouse Robson, Läderach at CF Pacific Centre, and Loreto.
