After more than fifteen years feeding regulars, Taikoo Yummy Food in Richmond’s Pacific Plaza food court shut down in late April 2026.
And the next tenant has already started moving in.
A Noms Mag community member (Jessho) spotted fresh signage up at the unit.
The replacement is called CK Tea C, and it’s described as another Hong Kong cafe.

There’s not much information out about CK Tea C beyond the storefront so far, though the food photos lined up across the signage give a clear sense of where the menu is headed.
The visuals show congee, BBQ duck over rice with greens, a sliced Hong Kong-style roast meat combo platter, soup noodles with sliced meat, a second bowl that looks like wonton noodle soup, and additional rice plates topped with roasted meats.

That puts CK Tea C in slightly different territory than the recent wave of new Hong Kong cafes in Vancouver and Richmond, which have leaned hard on all-day breakfast sets built around satay beef noodles, scrambled eggs, condensed milk toast, and macaroni soups.
The food still sits in the same Hong Kong cafe family, so anyone who already eats this style of cooking should see familiar items on the menu board once it’s up.

Pacific Plaza has long been one of Richmond’s less hyped Asian food courts and one that only locals seem to know about.
This also isn’t the first new Hong Kong addition to that food court in recent months.
The same building recently brought in Chow Noodles, a new Hong Kong cart noodle stall just next door.
CK Tea C now joins a growing list of upcoming food spots in Richmond, including Freshly Squeezed, Meeting in Chang’an, and Spice and Sea.
