A Dim Sum and Indoor Golf Simulator Bar Spotted Opening In Richmond This June

Indoor golf simulator bars have become a Metro Vancouver thing, and the next one slated for Richmond is doing something none of the others have tried.

Dimsum Caddy is preparing to open at 10331 St. Edwards Drive in June, pitched as a venue where indoor golf simulators sit alongside an elevated dim sum and cocktail menu under one roof.

A Noms Magazine community member (Jacob) tipped us off after spotting signage going up at the old Shark Club unit.

For anyone unfamiliar with this corner of Richmond, the space sits right beside the Sandman Signature Vancouver Airport Hotel and Resort and had operated as a longtime Shark Club sports bar at the address before quietly closing.

According to the shop’s Instagram, the project is built around three pillars: dim sum, cocktails, and golf simulator bays.

The opening copy reads “Where elevated dim sum, cocktails, and immersive golf come together under one roof,” with the tagline “Late nights. Great drives. Good bites.”

Indoor golf simulator bars have been multiplying across Metro Vancouver, with most leaning on the standard late-night menu of wings, sliders, and bar snacks to round out the drinking crowd.

Dimsum Caddy is going a different direction with the dim sum focus.

It is also a riskier bet for the same reason.

That’s because Richmond folks have a high standard for dim sum.

So if they’re offering subpar dim sum, it might backfire on them.

Dimsum Caddy joins a busy stretch of upcoming Richmond openings including One Bolo, HE MADE, and Freshly Squeezed Lansdowne.
