The cheapest way to eat unlimited Korean pork belly in Burnaby is now gone.
Porker Face served its last meal at 4455 Lougheed Highway on August 15.
The team announced it on Instagram four days ahead of the date, which gave regulars one last weekend and not much more.
“This is not a decision we wanted to make, but due to circumstances beyond our control, our journey at this location is coming to an end,” the announcement read.
The reason is the lease.
Ten years on the room ran out, and it was not renewed.
That ten years is the part worth sitting with, because Porker Face itself only opened in November 2024.
Sooda opened in this room in 2017, a few steps from the Amazing Brentwood mall, and ran it for seven years.

In December 2024 the group moved Sooda into the mall, taking the former White Spot R+D Kitchen unit inside the TABLES food court.
It held onto the original lease anyway, and turned the room into Porker Face rather than give it up.
So the goodbye is not just for a 21-month-old pork belly concept.
It is for the room where the group originally started, kept for a decade, and has now had to let go.
The format was unusually simple for all-you-can-eat.
One protein, cooked for you, on a limited menu instead of the sprawling checkbox order sheets most AYCE Korean rooms hand you.

Staff worked the tongs at the table, which meant nobody was burning their own pork belly or arguing about when to flip it.
Lunch ran $26.99 between 11:30 am and 4:30 pm, dinner ran $32.99 from 5:30 pm to 11 pm, and both came with doenjang jjigae, rice, salad, banchan, and wrap vegetables.
Second servings of the stew and the wrap vegetables cost extra, which is the only place the model got strict.
For a Brentwood lunch crowd, sub-$27 unlimited pork belly with the cooking handled was a genuinely hard number to beat, and there is no obvious replacement for it in the neighbourhood.
The comments under the closing post ran the way these always do, part goodbye and part negotiation, with people asking whether the format could move over to Sooda at something close to the same price.
Porker Face joins a run of recent Burnaby closures including Isami, Little Billy’s, and Tendon Kohaku Brentwood.
