With the difficult economy, the local restaurant scene is getting a beating – with spots shutting down left and right.

On May 8th, South Granville’s Impostori Trattoria shared the sad news of their impending closure on their Instagram page.

Opened in 2022, Impostori was operated by veteran restaurateur Chef Andrey Durbach, offering Italian cuisine with a twist.

Impostori took over the previous beloved global fusion restaurant, Rise Eatery.

After decades behind the stove and running nine different restaurants, Chef Andrey says he’s ready to hang up his apron and explore new horizons.

“It’s time for me to write a new chapter,” shared Chef Durbach.

He shared on the announcement that he had decided to accept an offer he received for the restaurant.

After 40 years of standing in kitchens, 28 years of ownership at 9 restaurants, and innumerable stints as Chef, it’s time for me to step out from behind the stoves, explore some different avenues and pursue some different goals.

We noticed the Impostori unit was up for sale since March.

The restaurant will offer a special prezzo fisso Sunday lunch on June 9, following its final regular service on June 8.

Don’t miss out on your last chance to experience Impostori’s magic.
