In a city where rain often sets the mood, there’s nothing more comforting than a hot bowl of noodle soup.
Well, Richmond will soon add another spot for Vietnamese noodles as Pho 68 expands to the city.
We’ve spotted big “Coming Soon” signs for their new location at the Superstore parkade level. They’ll be taking over the former Hunan Kitchen space beside Fukuroku Sushi Express.
Pho 68, a name may be familiar to those in Burnaby, is making its way to Richmond.
With two locations already – one in Edmonds since 2020 and the other in Surrey, opened in June 2023 – they’re now setting their sight on another city.
Pho 68 isn’t your OG pho joint, it is part of the growing trend of modernized versions of what used to be considered hole in the walls.
Yes that essentially means aesthetic decor, slightly higher price point, and a more manageable menu (not the 10 pagers like before).
At Pho 68, you’ve got a great selection from beef, chicken, and seafood pho, to spring rolls, salad rolls, and even banh mi at their Edmonds location.
Don’t forget the rice plates, vermicelli bowls, Vietnamese coffee, and bubble tea!
The new location is set to stir up some friendly competition with Baoguette, a long-standing Vietnamese restaurant just across the street.
While the grand opening date for Richmond’s Pho 68 hasn’t been announced yet, it should be soon.
