Rice roll lovers in Richmond are getting a new option at one of the city’s food courts.
We spotted signs for a new stall called Yummy Rice Roll setting up inside Parker Place food court, taking over a small unit next to Icy Bar.
The stall has not opened yet, but two signs are already mounted above the counter, giving a preview of what to expect.
According to the signage, the rice rolls are made from batter prepared with a traditional stone mill.
The stall appears to be offering three main varieties: egg rice roll, beef rice roll, and fresh shrimp rice roll.
The signs are covered in phrases promoting the product.
“Made fresh to order,” “real ingredients,” “traditional flavour,” and “so good you keep thinking about it” are all featured across the signage in Chinese.
The name Yummy Rice Roll is the English branding, but the Chinese name on the sign reads 肠粉大王, which translates to “Master Rice Roll.”
That name has already caused some confusion.
Master Rice Roll, an existing business at 140-4200 No. 3 Road in Richmond, posted a statement on Red Note clarifying that the new Parker Place stall is not affiliated with them.
The post states that they currently only have one location and that the Parker Place stall is not a branch, franchise, or partner.
If you have been to Parker Place before, you might remember that the food court previously had a rice roll vendor called Best Rice Roll.
That spot closed back in September 2025, leaving a gap for anyone looking for a dedicated rice roll stall in the food court.
Yummy Rice Roll looks to be filling that gap.
The stall is small, but dedicated rice roll spots in food courts tend to draw steady traffic from regulars looking for a quick, affordable Cantonese breakfast staple.
No opening date has been posted and no pricing is visible yet.
Yummy Rice Roll now joins other upcoming food spots in Richmond like Taoke Boil and Sizzle, Yogurie, and Unique Green.
