A Vancouver steakhouse just made a global best-of list for the third year in a row.
Elisa Steak has been named No. 32 on the 2026 World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants list, making it the highest-ranked Canadian restaurant on the entire ranking.
This is not the first time Elisa has appeared on the list.
The Yaletown restaurant debuted at No. 20 in 2024, making it the top steakhouse in Canada and No. 3 in all of North America that year.
In 2025, Elisa came in at No. 26 and was also ranked No. 11 on the separate North America list, again as the highest-ranked Canadian entry.
So while this year’s No. 32 spot is a slight slide in the global rankings, the consistency is the real story.
Three consecutive years on a list like this is not something many Canadian restaurants can claim.
The team behind Elisa shared the news on Instagram, calling the recognition “truly meaningful.”
“This recognition reflects the dedication and craft of our entire team,” the restaurant wrote.
The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Andrew Richardson, who staged at The French Laundry and previously ran the kitchens at CinCin and Araxi before opening Elisa in 2018.
Restaurant Director Ricardo Ferreira leads the front of house, and the restaurant operates in partnership with Luigi & Sons.
The global list is just one piece of a much longer highlight reel for Elisa.
It holds a Michelin Recommended designation and a DiRoNA Award of Excellence.
For a city that does not always get talked about in the same breath as global steak capitals, this kind of sustained recognition is a big deal.
The response from Vancouver’s food community has been enthusiastic.
Comments on the announcement ranged from “only surprise is that it’s not higher” to “great staff, great steak.”
