A downtown Vancouver Italian container cafe from the team behind two Michelin-recommended restaurants has now closed for the season.
Ciclo Espresso’s outpost at The Post, at 695 Homer Street, shared the news on Instagram in late October.
It’s a break, not a goodbye.
“See you back at The Post in spring!” the team wrote, thanking customers for their support throughout the season.
The cafe opened back in May 2025 inside a custom container, right between Amazon’s Vancouver HQ and Acquafarina.
Ciclo comes from owner Fabrizio Foz, part of the team behind Acquafarina and Per Se Social Corner.
Both restaurants are on the Michelin Guide’s 2026 Recommended list for Vancouver.
The house sandwich at The Post is the Panino Porta, short for panino portafoglio, or “wallet sandwich,” named for the way it’s folded.

The bread starts as 72-hour fermented dough, gets par-baked in the open-flame brick oven at Acquafarina next door, then is finished at the cafe.
At launch, the filling was fior di latte, stracciatella and mortadella, finished with pistachio pesto, arugula and crumbled pistachios before the whole thing was folded in four.
The rest of the menu stuck close to an Italian coffee bar, with espresso drinks, croissants, biscotti and tiramisu to go.

During the break, Ciclo’s Yaletown and Coal Harbour locations remain open.
No exact reopening date has been shared yet beyond spring.
Ciclo The Post’s seasonal pause comes as Vancouver has seen a few permanent goodbyes lately, including Daeji on Dunsmuir, Tabom Korean Cuisine on Robson and Hook Restaurant at English Bay.
