Another longtime food spot has shut down in the West End.
Legendary Noodle closed its location at 1074 Denman Street in late September after 20 years of operation.
The team announced the closure on their Facebook page in early September, with a notice that set September 27 as the last day of operation.
“We are truly grateful for your unwavering support, loyalty, and the countless memories we’ve shared,” the notice reads.

The Denman shop opened back in 2006.
What takes over the unit hasn’t been announced.
Legendary Noodle’s other location, at 887 West Broadway, is still open, and the closing notice points Denman regulars there.
The brand goes back even further than the Denman shop.
Its website says it has been serving the community since 1996.
Founder Brock Li learned to stretch, twirl and slice noodle dough as a teenager, according to the restaurant’s own story.
Noodles are pulled fresh to order in different thicknesses, and the sign over the Denman door said it plainly: “Noodles are Made on site.”
The signature bowl is the Lanzhou beef noodle soup, with a broth the restaurant says it boils from beef bones and meat for 12 hours.

On the Broadway menu, that bowl goes by Sliced Marinated Beef Soup Noodle, with beef brisket and tomato beef brisket versions beside it.
Each one is $18.75, and you pick the noodle: thin, thick, flat, knife-cut, or gluten-free vermicelli.
For a lot of West End residents, that’s a trip across False Creek for a bowl that used to be down the street.
If the Denman bowls were your go-to, the same pick-your-noodle setup is waiting at 887 West Broadway.
Legendary Noodle on Denman joins other recent Vancouver closures like theVenti Dunsmuir, Dong Tai Xiang, and Megabite Granville.
