A small tasting menu restaurant on East Broadway in Mount Pleasant has announced it is closing.

Its final dinner service set for November 29.

Murmurs, at 235 East Broadway near Main Street, announced the sad news on Instagram.

“This has not been an easy decision, and we are incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported us, dined with us, celebrated special occasions with us, and made Murmur a part of their lives,” the team wrote.

The team called it “an incredible journey full of ups and downs.”

Murmurs opened in 2025 as a daytime cafe, with coffee, savoury bites and a cinnamon bun the team said could be the best in the city.

It added set dinners on weekend nights, and now its website lists dinner service only.

Chef Abbie Gluvic now builds the rotating tasting menus herself, with modern Vietnamese flavours running through them.

The current menu includes a French onion soup dumpling, scallop ceviche in a cold tom yum consommé, and cappelletti with mushrooms and black garlic.

Dinner runs four courses for $85 or six courses for $105.

That price is the whole bill.

Murmurs folds tax and gratuity into its prices, so nobody does tip math at the end of the night.

The team’s sign-off was simple: “Until then, come eat, sit, relax, and enjoy.”

What moves into 235 East Broadway next hasn’t been announced.

If you’ve been meaning to try it, dinner runs Thursday to Sunday until November 29, and bookings are taken online or by text.

Murmurs will be joining other recent Vancouver closures like Song Huong, DingDing Restaurant, and Frying Pan.
