For months the signage in Aberdeen Centre’s food court gave up exactly one thing: a name.
The rest of the wall was blank.
Lai San Wan Noodles has finally said what it is.
We spotted new signage up on the wrap last week, and the answer is on it in two languages: Wok-Fresh. Made-to-Order.
The panel reads “Great Noodles. See You Soon.” in red across a cream background, with 一碗好面 期待见面 underneath and the tagline BEST NOODLE FOR YOU tucked into the bottom corner.
Wok-fired noodles cooked to order is a narrower promise than most food court stalls make, and it is the only detail the stall has committed to publicly.
Everything else is still blank.
There is no website, no Instagram account, no menu and no opening date.
That is unusual in 2026, and it is the reason this one has been sitting in the “what is it” pile since spring.
The location tells you more than the branding does.
Lai San Wan is going into the two new stall units carved out of the space the food court arcade used to occupy, directly beside Taiwan Bento 101.
Taiwan Bento 101 opened in that same stretch in June, which means the arcade corner has gone from games to a working food row inside a single year.
Aberdeen Centre has been turning over faster than any food court in the region.
The departures stack up first.
Garaku, Haojiya, Hazukido Cafe+, Chef Hung and LUCA have all left the building in recent months.
The arrivals have kept pace.
El Comal Express brought Mexican to the food court, Taoke moved in, and Man Ri Sung relocated into the court from its old unit.
For a mall whose food court is the actual destination for a lot of shoppers, that churn matters more than it would anywhere else.
What a wok noodle stall adds is a format the court does not really have.
A dedicated wok station fires each bowl on the spot, which is a different kind of line and a different wait.
Whether that means Cantonese soy sauce fried noodles, Sichuan dry-fried, or something regional the sign is not naming yet is the open question.
No opening date has been given, and nobody has confirmed how many seats or which two units by number.
Lai San Wan Noodles joins other upcoming Richmond food spots including Sangoku at Lansdowne Centre, Kano Sushi Market on Minoru, and Mr. Noodle Chen.
