A Kingsway sourdough pizza shop known for its adventurous monthly specials is putting krab rangoon on a pizza for October.
Just Pizza, at 1629 Kingsway in Vancouver, calls it the Krab Rangoon Pizza, and it’s on the menu for October only.
It starts with white sauce, mozzarella and a krab mix.
On top go spicy mayo, sweet chili sauce, toasted sesame seeds, scallions, fried wontons, lemon zest and garlic oil.
The krab is imitation, and the team says so up front.
“It’s crab with a K,” they joke in the video announcing it, adding that “there’s no real crab in it.”
The same video warns that “pineapple on pizza haters might want to look away,” since this one puts crab and cream cheese on a pizza.
October’s pie comes from a team member named Adam.
The caption asks whether he “did his culture proud.”
The timing is tied to the team’s next project.
“We’re opening a fine dining restaurant with a Chinese Pacific Northwest tasting menu this month,” the caption says, and “as its older sister, it only seems right that we serve something Chinese-North American too.”
That restaurant is Haisan, on Commercial Drive.
When we reported on it in September, Just Pizza co-owner and chef Steven Che, who won the 2026 Garland Canada Culinary Competition, was planning a 30-seat room with a 16-course menu, served on ceramics he throws himself.
Monthly specials are what Just Pizza is known for.
Past pies have included a sisig pizza, a turkey dinner pizza and a pork floss milk crust, and in March the team put claypot rice on a pizza with Chinese sausage and braised shiitake.

Under the new post, one regular singled out the Montreal smoked meat, Persian sour chicken and last month’s satay pizza as favourites.
Everything sits on a three-day sourdough, and the regular menu keeps pies like the Filipino Breakfast and Chicken Tikka Masala.
When the shop opened in 2024, it had just three small dine-in tables and was set up mostly for pickup and delivery.
The post doesn’t list a price, so check the menu before you order, and get there before November, when the pie comes off.
The krab rangoon pie joins other recent Vancouver arrivals like Straight Outta Brooklyn on Kingsway, Four Bite Burger at Bentall Centre and Läderach at Pacific Centre.
