Exciting news for coffee lovers in Vancouver—Prototype Coffee has expanded!
Their new Mount Pleasant location soft opened earlier this week on August 12th.
Prototype, often recognized as one of the best coffee shops in the city, opened in Strathcona back in 2019.
Their innovative approach and commitment to quality have earned them a loyal following and various awards.
Now, they’re bringing that same goodness to Mount Pleasant, partnering with Please! Beverage Co. to create a shared space that combines coffee and cocktails.
The coffee menu features a wide variety of top-quality coffees, carefully sourced by import partners who maintain long-term relationships with farmers worldwide.
This respect for coffee’s diversity is evident in their offerings—over 20 different coffees are available at any given time on the brew bar, with several espresso options to choose from as well.
Their new Mount Pleasant location is bright, spacious, and full of natural light—perfect for leisurely coffee tastings.
There’s even an outdoor patio for those sunny Vancouver days.
The space transitions in the late afternoon to Please! Beverage Co., offering cocktails and food service, making it a versatile spot for both morning coffee and evening drinks.
One of the highlights of Prototype is their waffle donuts.
These unique creations, made from scratch with seasonal and local ingredients, are cooked in a waffle iron right on the bar.
They’ve been a hit at their East Hastings location and are sure to win over customers in Mount Pleasant too.
Prototype’s new spot will initially be open Monday and Tuesday from 11 AM to 3 PM and Wednesday to Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM.
This expansion is a major milestone for Prototype, which has made a name for itself by focusing on quality and diversity.
The new location is also an opportunity for them to experiment with new methods and flavours, offering a fresh experience for both new customers and long-time fans.
