The strip across from Richmond’s CF Richmond Centre is about to get another player in the city’s pho race.
Pho 19, a new Vietnamese restaurant on No. 3 Road, has been in the works for several months and is now looking very close to opening.
The shop sits inside the Paramount Building, right beside Long Shan Dong Taiwanese beef noodle and just steps from the Oishinoya food hall.
The signage went up early on this Spring, but the windows have now been dressed up with additional content beyond the main Pho 19 logo, which is usually one of the last steps before a restaurant flips the lights on.
A look inside the space shows a setup that is clearly gearing up to open.
The interior leans simple and stripped back, with clean lines and a layout that suggests the focus is going to be on the food rather than a heavy design moment.
That fits with the modern direction the name is hinting at.
The pho landscape on this side of No. 3 Road is already loaded with longtime players, including Pho Lan, which has anchored the area for over 25 years.
Pho 19 will likely take a more modern lane, slotting into the same stretch but reading younger and cleaner from the street.
The full menu has not been confirmed and the team has not posted any social media handles or a website yet.
That has not slowed the buzz around the corner, where shoppers leaving the mall can already see the storefront taking shape from across No. 3 Road.
The location is one of the strongest in Richmond for Asian food right now, sitting in a block that has steadily become a destination.
The Paramount Building alone covers Taiwanese beef noodle, the Oishinoya food hall, and now a new pho concept under one roof.
Pulling back further, the area around CF Richmond Centre has quietly turned into one of the most active food zones in the city.
Pho 19 joins a growing list of upcoming Richmond food spots, including HE MADE, Unique Bakery at Union Square, and Tenichi Izakaya.
