It’s getting steeply crowded from noon until it hits the peak at 3 pm, with Saturday and Sunday being the most congested days of the week.

What to Know Before Visiting Metropolis at Metrotown?

  • Leave a note on your head of which spot you’re leaving your car at the parking lot! The lot is huge and forgetting where your car is an actual nightmare (and don’t get lost either!).
  • Take public transit if you can. This specifically rings true if you’re only here on a trip and not planning to carry a lot of things home.
  • Only service dogs are allowed into the mall at this time.
  • Bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades or other similar equipment are not allowed within the mall.
  • Shoes and proper attire must be worn inside the mall.
  • Smoking and use of electronic cigarettes are allowed at the designated exterior areas only.

Parking at Metrotown

You can park at over 6000 parking spots underground of Metropolis at Metrotown with a 4-hour limit. Parking underground is free but it gets busy especially on rainy weekends and around Christmas. No registration is required.

In terms of on-street (above ground) parking lots, the East Parking surface along Kingsway between Sussex and Nelson is paid parking if exceeding the 2-hour limit. The hourly rate starts from $2. Registration with the Westpark kiosk is needed. There will be signage and pay stations present in these areas.
