Vancouver travellers now have another tasty option before hopping on a flight.
In late August, YVR Airport welcomed Romer’s Fresh Kitchen & Bar to its U.S. Departures area.
The local chain is bringing its West Coast–inspired eats, giving travellers a chance to fuel up on something fresh and local before takeoff.

The menu features hand-pressed natural beef burgers, hearty breakfast plates, and lighter picks like fresh salads and bowls.
Their beef is sourced from Semlin Valley Ranch in Cache Creek, B.C., and they’ve partnered with Burnaby’s Cioffi’s Meat Market & Deli to keep things close to home.
Romer’s says it’s all about doing things right — no shortcuts, no frozen patties, and yes, even the mayo is made from scratch.

Popular items like the Magic Mushroom Burger, Truffle Fries, and their cheeky Drunken Donuts have made the jump to the airport, giving travellers a familiar taste of the brand’s lineup.
The brand first launched in 2010 out of a passion for simple but great food.

Since then, it’s expanded to Lynn Valley, River District, and Port Moody, though their longtime Kitsilano location shut down last year after 14 years.
This new outpost marks their fourth active location in the province.
With its focus on fresh, local, and fun, Romer’s adds to YVR’s push to showcase B.C. businesses and regional flavours alongside Lee’s Donuts, A&W, Triple O’s, Japadog, Pajo’s and Purebread.
