Have you ever heard of Canadian Soaked Donuts?
No?
Well, you’re part of the majority.
Tiktok user @anidaslajaunie shared a video how when he was visiting Canada, he got these soaked donuts in a jar from a food store.

Unlike most visitors that come to the land of maple syrup…you’d typically purchase ketchup chips, smoked salmon, beavertail, ice wine or maple syrup.
You know – the usual Canadian food items.
So when he showed this apple maple soaked donuts, it got most Canadians (and us) scratching their heads, wondering what these magical donuts even are or where they came from.
Several Tiktok users commented that Anidas was at “a different Canada”, suggesting that they too have never seen such an item.
Although we’ve never seen such bottled donuts before, we can’t help but be intrigued.
Let’s be honest, donuts soaked in spirits?!
Who would have thought?
Founded by Bruno, a food enthusiast with a passion for alcoholic pastries, Foodievores takes the daring, cosmopolitan flavours of Montreal and turns them into sweet, boozy goodness.
These aren’t your average donuts.
Each one is soaked in syrup like maple rum, coffee whiskey, and triple sec and chocolate.
Craving something rich and warm?
The maple rum syrup will satisfy that sweet tooth with a deep caramel twist.
Want a little buzz?
Try the coffee whiskey syrup—it adds a roasted, boozy touch that coffee lovers will adore.
And if you’re in the mood for something extra special, the triple sec chocolate syrup mixes zesty orange with rich chocolate.
Although this isn’t exactly as common as the ol bag of ketchup chips as a food souvenir, these soaked donuts from Quebec sure is a novel one!
So, what do you think? Is it a yes or a no?
