Kitsilano is about to smell a whole lot sweeter!
Fresh signage has popped up along West 4th Avenue showing that Peak Donuts, the house-made donut brand from Fresh St. Market, will open right next to the grocer’s upcoming Kitsilano location.
We previously reported that Fresh St. Market was moving into the neighbourhood, taking over a space that’s set to bring a new grocery option to the area.
Now, it looks like their donut brand is joining in.
Peak Donuts might sound new to some Vancouverites, but the brand’s been baking behind the scenes for years.
Fresh St. Market was founded in 2013 by Georgia Main Food Group, the same team behind IGA, it started as an in-house concept available at Fresh St. Market stores across B.C.
Since then, it’s quietly gained a following in places like Whistler, Langley, Kamloops, and Surrey.
The Vancouver debut came earlier this year at Fresh St. Market’s Vancouver House location, where Peak Donuts became an instant hit with its daily lineup of freshly made pastries.
That spot offered more than two dozen flavours, from fruit-filled creations to custard-topped classics. Fans often mention how hard it is to walk away with just one.
While there’s still no official opening date for either the Kitsilano Fresh St. Market or its Peak Donuts counter, the appearance of the new signage suggests things are moving along.
And given the success of their downtown launch, locals can probably expect a similar variety of freshly made donuts once the doors open.
Peak Donuts doesn’t run its own social pages, but Fresh St. Market occasionally teases new donut flavours on its Instagram, giving followers a peek at special seasonal treats and limited-edition boxes.
The Kitsilano location will mark the second Vancouver spot to carry Peak Donuts, expanding access for city donut lovers who’ve had to trek downtown for a fix.
This upcoming opening joins a growing list of new additions to Vancouver’s food scene, with other recent spots including Jeju Restaurant, Heavenly Desserts, and Pika Tea.
