Another shooting has rocked a Surrey café tied to Indian entertainment star Kapil Sharma.

According to CityNews, in the early hours of August 7, gunfire struck Kap’s Café, marking the second shooting at the same business in under a month.

The café, named after the Bollywood comedian and talk show host, had only recently opened when it was first targeted on July 10.

Surrey Police Service officers responded around 4:40 a.m. and found at least six bullet holes in the café’s windows.

The object found near the café resembled a glass bottle with liquid and a rag sticking out – commonly associated with Molotov cocktails.

Forensic teams are examining it to confirm if it was indeed an incendiary device.

Locals who live near the café were shaken by the violence.

“I heard shots fired, like five or six shots, and then the cops came,” said nearby resident Bob Singh, who called 1130 NewsRadio.

In both incidents, staff members were inside the café but escaped without injuries.

Footage from the July attack made its rounds on social media shortly after the incident, allegedly showing a drive-by shooting.

While police have not confirmed a motive, they are exploring all possibilities, including links to the recent wave of extortion threats targeting South Asian business owners in the region.

“There is no definitive link to extortions at this time, however, investigators are not ruling it out,” Houghton noted.

Police are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area to contact the SPS non-emergency line or reach out to Crime Stoppers anonymously.
