If you have been waiting for Kinton Ramen to officially arrive in Burnaby, the wait is over.
The popular ramen chain quietly opened its Gilmore Place location late last year, but now it is ready to make things official.
Kinton Ramen is hosting its grand opening on Saturday, February 7, and to celebrate, the restaurant is offering 50% off all ramen for dine-in guests.

The deal is for one day only.
For anyone unfamiliar, Kinton is a Toronto-based ramen chain that has built a following across Canada for its scratch-made noodles and rich, hearty broths.
The brand has expanded steadily over the years and now has multiple locations across the country.
This Burnaby spot at 4112 Lougheed Highway marks an important addition to the chain’s presence in Metro Vancouver.
The 33-seat restaurant is designed as a cozy, casual space where you can settle in for a satisfying bowl.

The menu covers the usual suspects you would expect from a solid ramen shop, including tonkotsu and miso-based options.
If you have tried Kinton before, you know what you are getting.
If you have not, a half-price bowl is a pretty good reason to find out.
The grand opening runs from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, so you have a full day to make your way over.
One thing to note for drivers: there is complimentary underground parking available for up to 90 minutes.

The parking entrance is on Gilmore Avenue.
The deal does not apply to takeout or delivery, so plan to eat in if you want that discount.
Given that half-price ramen tends to draw crowds, you should probably expect a wait, especially during peak hours.
Gilmore Place is slowly transforming into a legitimate food hub.
Kinton Ramen joins a stack of opened heavy hitters in the complex, including Big Way Hot Pot, KFC, Galbi KBBQ, Trees Organics, and Sun Tea.
If you are a Kinton regular or trying it for the first time, a 50% discount on a bowl of ramen is hard to pass up.
Mark your calendar for February 7 and bring your appetite.
