Good news for sushi lovers!

Happy Sushi is back, a few blocks north with a fresh sign and the same AYCE promise.

The longtime sushi spot quietly moved from its old corner near 41st & Victoria to a new address.

It first opened more than a decade ago on Victoria Drive and became a go-to for locals craving casual all-you-can-eat sushi nights.

Known for its no-fuss service, hearty portions, and dependable rolls, it built a loyal following of regulars.

Now itโ€™s reopened at 5137 Victoria Drive.

It seems they opted to relocate rather than leave the neighbourhood, keeping the familiar formula and giving it a light refresh.

Inside feels modern and spacious yet still cozy.

The menu stays largely the same with many classics you’d expect from a Vancouver Japanese restaurant.

Expect classic tempura, udon, teriyaki, oshi sushi, party trays, and a long list of rolls and nigiri.

Allโ€‘youโ€‘canโ€‘eat is back too, with over 70 options to choose from.

For those wanting a giant platter of sashimi, you’ll be sad that it will be an extra charge ($5 per order) for salmon or tuna sashimi.

It is priced at $33.98 or adults and $21.98 for children ages 4 – 9. On Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays, you tag on an extra dollar.

Rising ingredient costs have thinned Vancouverโ€™s AYCE sushi ranks over the last few years, so any comeback feels like a minor win for budgetโ€‘minded sushi enthusiasts.

Happy Sushi joins other recently opened Vancouver food spots like Doe Coffee Strathcona, Nizu Cafe, and Belli Pizza.
