The Miss Vickie’s brand is celebrating Canadian culinary culture by bringing it to the snack aisle with their new limited-time collection, the Ristoranti Series.
And one of the three featured flavours celebrates Ask for Luigi, a Michelin Guide-recommended restaurant, and one of their most beloved dishes: Cacio e Pepe.
Known as one of Vancouver’s go-to spots for authentic Italian food, Ask for Luigi worked closely with the Miss Vickie’s culinary team to translate the taste of the dish into a kettle cooked potato chip.
Through multiple tastings and refinements, the Miss Vickie’s culinary team, hand-in-hand with the owners from Ask for Luigi, were able to capture the taste of the true-to-dish experience of Ask for Luigi’s classic Cacio e Pepe.
“It’s a culinary dream to bring together beloved Italian dishes with the unmistakable crunch of Miss Vickie’s,” says Lisa Allie, Senior Director, Marketing, PepsiCo Foods Canada. “This new series is a celebration of Canadian culinary culture, and we’re so proud to bring Canadians something special to enjoy across the country.”
The Miss Vickie’s brand, which was launched in Canada in 1987, has long been known as an innovator in the kettle cooked potato chip space, constantly pushing for flavours that go beyond the expected.
The Ristoranti Series shows how far the brand has come — developing chips not just with Italian-inspired flavours, but in collaboration with some of the best Italian restaurants in the country.
Miss Vickie’s® x Ask For Luigi Cacio e Pepe flavoured kettle cooked potato chips will be available at retailers across the country starting October 6, for a limited time.
