Something new is happening inside the old Coo Coo Coffee unit on Davie Street.
Fresh signage just appeared on the windows, and it points to a brand making its first move into Yaletown.
That newcomer is Nine Bar Coffee, the mobile espresso bar that’s been popping up at events across Metro Vancouver.
A Noms Mag community member (@alannnblu) spotted the coming soon signs last week and shared a look at the papered-up windows and the new logo taking over the space.

If you’ve been to a wedding, company party, or festival in the last year, you may have seen Nine Bar’s setup.
The business started as a fully mobile, battery-powered espresso bar that could operate just about anywhere.
No cords, no outlets, just a compact station turning out drinks with vacuum-level efficiency.

The founders come from the local coffee scene and built the brand around one goal: serving event coffee that doesn’t taste like an afterthought.
Their baristas pull espresso with locally roasted beans, dial in every shot, and top drinks with the kind of latte art that stops people before they take a sip.
Their menu covers all the classics. Espresso, long black, cortado, flat white, cappuccino, latte, and mocha, plus iced versions of everything.
They also serve chai, babyccinos, and offer oat, almond, and soy milk, along with flavour shots like caramel, vanilla, and honey.

Up to now, Nine Bar has been entirely on wheels. But with demand growing, the team is setting down roots for the first time.
The Yaletown location is slated to open in December 2025, giving the crew plenty of time to transform the former Coo Coo Coffee space into their new home base.
With this move, Nine Bar Coffee joins a growing wave of new spots opening across the Metro Vancouver, including Baking Factory, Alberello, and Tahini’s.
